IE Community

Being part of the IE community is more than just being an alumnus; it's being a part of a global network of people sharing a set of common goals and ethical values. Students build up a network of contacts with their classmates and professors, as well as the relationships that IE has fostered over the years in the legal and business communities.

In addition, IE runs a number of centers dedicated to research and development in key areas of international business that are closely linked to the real needs and specific demands of the business world.

The IE Communities platform is a network of virtual communities that promote the development of your international network and share theoretical and practical knowledge of sectors, functional areas, and geographic regions. You can visit the IE Communites here: communities.ie.edu

IE has cultivated extensive relationships across the world, all of which are open to you and contribute to your IE network.

IE Alumni

The IE Alumni Association currently has some 35,000 alumni members that hold legal and management positions in 100 countries, and serves as a platform for networking, training, information and professional services. More than 80 alumni representatives and over 60 alumni clubs around the globe will help you maintain and build on your network and keep in contact with IE, wherever you are.

The IE Alumni Association works to maximize and, in many cases, establish contact between members, and strives to provide its members with continuous training, keeping IE graduates up to date with the latest professional and management skills.

A network of Alumni Association chapters, both in Spain and around the world, forges links between alumni and the range of legal and business organizations that collaborate with IE. These Alumni Clubs organize a variety of academic activities- courses, conferences, round tables, forums and open debates, as well as leisure activities such as meetings, trips, and sporting events, generating great opportunities to enhance this essential network.

The Alumni Association provides personalized careers guidance through the Careers Management Centre.

Ideas Empresariales, a quarterly journal, features interviews with international business leaders, sector, market, and country -specific reports, plus the latest trends in legal and tax issues.

Open Forums offer the chance for graduates from around the world to connect with each other, promoting the exchange of information, providing unique cultural insight, as well as allowing you to build up your IE Network.

We offer alumni assistance and guidance in your professional development by promoting business start-ups through the Entrepreneurship Department and the International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Venture Development (ICEVED).

Alumni may attend on-campus and online training activities designed to meet the demands for skills and capacities in new disciplines. We firmly believe in promoting our alumni, and we are constantly innovating in terms of the content and design of courses, seminars, practical cases, conferences, sector-specific programs and forums.

The IE Chair in Social Responsibility provides a platform for research into business practices involving ethical, individual, social and corporate issues. The Chair, sponsored by the Alumni Association, upholds the consciousness of IE graduates of the increasingly important role of ethics in generating collective wealth.

The Alumni Association has agreements with over 250 firms in a wide variety of sectors whereby members of the association enjoy discounts on products and services, including courses at IE.

The Annual Alumni Conference reflects the spirit of the Alumni Association and plays a key role in the development of the IE network as well as promoting lifelong training. Last year's conference brought together 1,500 alumni from around the world.
